As entrepreneurs grow their businesses and start building teams, it is important to build the right model with the right people and correct policies in place. Start-ups that survive the litmus test of the first 1 000 days of operation face a new set of challenges, as they face the conundrum of when and how to build the right team that will help the business to leapfrog from a one man show to an established corporation.

Our next instalment of the I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR Summit for 2021 will be hosted under the apt theme: Building Teams and will be streamed live on Facebook, YouTube and via a data free stream on our website from 10h00 to 11h30 on Saturday, 19 June 2021.

A panel of entrepreneurs, both experienced and those growing successful new ventures, will share insights on when and how to build the right team, what best practices to emulate and the common mistakes that fellow entrepreneurs should be aware of as they expand and consolidate their businesses.

In line with our format, the summit will be broadcast from the studio, plus a limited live audience will be hosted in Bloemfontein in strict adherence to Covid-19 safety and health protocols.

As per tradition, the highlight of the event will be a presentation and question and answer session with a guest entrepreneur who will share their business journey. This summit will feature Ian Fuhr, founder of The Hatch Institute, a business coaching institution, and former founder of The Sorbet Group, South Africa’s largest beauty salon brand.

Other guests who will also share their insights and expertise at the event includeNompumelelo ‘Mpoomy’ Ledwaba, Digital Content Creator and Entrepreneur, Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira, former Springbok and entrepreneur, Joey Mongalo, Blue Bulls defence coach and Mathebe Molise, founder of Beauty on TApp.

“Despite the alarmingly high failure rate of new companies in South Africa, there are businesses that have managed to buck this trend by showing the commercial viability of their businesses, and having the right team is a crucial element for success. The upcoming I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR Summit will give SMME owners the tools to enable them to make smart and well calculated decisions regarding their teams and their future. Our delegates can also look forward to sage advice from our guest entrepreneur who has blazed a trail in the world of business and changed the landscape of the beauty industry in South Africa,” says Keitumetse Lekaba, MD & Head of Enterprise and Supplier Development of I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR.

A limited number of delegates will be allowed at the venue in Bloemfontein upon registration on Delegates from other provinces can register and livestream the event remotely on Facebook Live, YouTube Live, or via a data free stream on
