POPIA Notice.
Our notice under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, setting out how we process personal information and the rights you hold as a data subject.

I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR (Pty) Ltd processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This notice explains how we comply with the Act. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which sets out exactly what we collect and why.
1. Responsible party & Information Officer
The responsible party is I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR (Pty) Ltd, Block D, Coachmans Crossing Office Park, 4 Brian Street, Lyme Park, Sandton, 2060. Our Information Officer can be reached at linda@iamanentrepreneur.co.za and is registered with the Information Regulator as required by the Act.
2. Our commitment under POPIA
When we process your personal information, we commit to the eight conditions for lawful processing:
- Accountability — we take responsibility for the information in our care.
- Processing limitation — we collect only what is necessary, lawfully and with your consent.
- Purpose specification — we collect for a specific, defined purpose and tell you what it is.
- Further processing limitation — we do not use your information for unrelated purposes.
- Information quality — we keep your information accurate and up to date.
- Openness — we are transparent about what we hold and why.
- Security safeguards — we protect your information with reasonable measures.
- Data subject participation — we honour your rights to access and correct your information.
3. Consent
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before processing your personal information, for example when you submit a mentor application or subscribe to our newsletter. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting our Information Officer, without affecting processing that has already taken place.
4. Your rights as a data subject
You are entitled to:
- Be told what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, outdated or no longer needed.
- Object, on reasonable grounds, to the processing of your information.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Not have your information used for direct marketing without your agreement.
5. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your personal information lawfully, please contact our Information Officer first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za, or by email to the Regulator's complaints office.
