Following a sold-out workshop in Johannesburg and in Polokwane I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR makes its way to Durban this Saturday.

Our guest entrepreneur is Gil Oved, South African entrepreneur who is the co-founder and co-CEO of The Creative CounselSouth Africa’s largest advertising agency. He was one of the Dragons on the hugely popular television reality show Dragons’ Den South Africa. In 2016 Oved was chosen as the first “Shark” on the new series of Shark Tank on M-NET.

Gil Oved started up a business during the dot.com era, but went bankrupt. Like a true entrepreneur, he moved on to a new business venture, the starting of The Creative Counsel. The company has grown exponentially, through the acquisition of new clients as well as other businesses in the advertising and marketing sector attracting the attention of Publicis Groupe who bought the Company in September 2015. TCC operates under Publicis Africa Group.

A new feature of all the I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR workshops are the masterclasses that help entrepreneurs with practical insights and knowledge to help grow their businesses.

Founder and host of I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR, Andile Khumalo will run a masterclass on what entrepreneurs need to raise funding for their businesses. A Chartered Accountant by profession, and Chief Operating Officer of MSG Afrika, Andile has raised hundreds of millions of rands for the various media businesses in their group, which includes Limpopo’s Hottest Frequency, Capricorn FM.

As usual I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR will be driven by Renault South Africa and will be bringing along its partners MTN Business and Brand South Africa’s Play Your Part initiative.

Join us as we host one of South Africa’s finest entrepreneurs, Gil Oved as he shares his entrepreneurial journey, lessons, struggles, failures and successes. Entrepreneurs will also leave with tricks of the trade and tips on how to secure funding for their businesses.
