I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is here to help entrepreneurs build and grow their businesses. We do that through our summits, which up-skill entrepreneurs with key business skills. We also develop and manage impactful Enterprise and Suppliers Development (ESD) Programmes for multi-nationals and South African corporates in compliance with B-BBEE regulations.
Founded in 2013 by Andile Khumalo, I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR (IAAE) is a national workshop series that has been attended by almost 5 000 entrepreneurs in all 9 of South Africa’s provinces. To date, IAAE has hosted 48 Summits featuring 52 Guest Entrepreneurs, such as: Laduma Ngxokolo, Dawn Nathan-Jones, Ian Fuhr, Gcina Zondi, Teddy Daka, Sandile Zungu, Ronnie Apteker, David Kau, Tim Tebeila, the late Dr. Thandi Ndlovu, Ran Neu-Ner, Gil Oved, Arie Fabian, Thebe Ikalafeng, Aisha Pandor and many others. The Summits have continued to earn raving reviews from all entrepreneurs in attendance.
Far too many aspiring entrepreneurs believe that all they really need is funding. The truth is, it’s far more than that. They need skills in marketing, sales, finance and so much more. That is why I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR exists. Our Summits consist of a full-day programme that includes interactive workshops where content is delivered by carefully selected and accomplished experts. The learning environment is a collaborative one with group exercises and team work. Thereafter, an invited successful entrepreneur shares their journey; the ups, the downs, and the lessons; and engages in a Q&A session with the attendees.
In 2019, IAAE was able to extend its reach to cover every single province in South Africa thanks to our sponsor, FNB Business.
The Summits will continue to consist of a mixture of Educational, Skills Development, as well as Business Leadership content. The intention is to impart business development, management and leadership skills for entrepreneurs to immediately implement in their business.
